Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team, reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager. This role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing the organization’s infrastructure across Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Exchange, and Active Directory environments, including hybrid deployments. The position involves implementing security measures, managing user access, and ensuring compliance with security policies, while also supporting both cloud and on-premise systems.
In addition to project-related work, the role focuses on administration, maintenance, and support of company-wide infrastructure, including physical, virtual, and cloud-based servers, identity and access management (IAM), and related applications.
Main Duties
Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
- Implement and configure Office 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).
- Administer and troubleshoot Exchange Server in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Maintain and support Active Directory, including domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Ensure AD replication and health; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement AD security best practices, account policies, permissions, and access controls.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents; conduct regular audits and compliance checks.
- Support IAM solutions such as CyberArk and Silverfort (knowledge an advantage).
Automation & Scripting:
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of AD and system management tasks.
- Create scripts for bulk user management, reporting, and system maintenance.
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work closely with IT teams and business units to support infrastructure and security projects.
- Provide technical support and training to IT staff and end-users.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing Azure, Office 365, Exchange, and enterprise-level Active Directory environments.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid environments integrating on-premises and cloud services.
- Expertise in Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Proven experience with AD security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSA, or similar) preferred.
