Description

Ryanair Engineering delivered by Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd are currently recruiting a Duty Operations Manager to join our highly skilled team at Stansted Airport working a 2D2N4O rotating shift pattern.

 

Reporting directly to the Stansted Station Manager, the successful candidate will partner closely with the Engineering Shift Leader to ensure the efficient and effective management of the engineering operation. We are looking for a motivated self-starter with managerial experience who is highly organised and able to lead technical teams in a diverse and fast-changing environment.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop a large multi-disciplinary team of engineers and mechanics.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance activity at the station, including Line Maintenance, AOG recovery, and night-stop operations for 50+ a/c.
  • Ensure full compliance with EASA/UK CAA regulations, as well as Ryanair’s internal policies and procedures.
  • Drive high standards of safety, quality, and productivity across all engineering activities.
  • Manage rostering, resource planning, and shift coverage to support operational needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for engineering operations at Stansted, including liaison with flight operations, ground services, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Excellent time management, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and effectively communicate progress to Senior Management.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Full computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience using AMOS Software (Desirable).
  • Flexible, hands-on approach to leadership.
  • Previous experience within the Aviation or Engineering sector is desirable.

 

Applicants must have unrestricted right-to-work in the UK and hold a valid Full-UK Driving Licence.
