About Us:
Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance (PAM) IRE Ltd is Ryanair’s first heavy maintenance facility in Ireland. Established in 2022 the company supports the maintenance of Ryanair's growing Boeing 737 NG and MAX fleet and is located in a 3-bay hangar in Shannon, Co. Clare. The facility employs highly skilled aircraft engineers, mechanics, and support staff.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Recruiter to join our HR team. Reporting to the HR Manager, the Recruiter will be responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment across professional, technical, operational, and specialist roles. A key focus of this position will be the proactive sourcing and engagement of high-calibre talent through direct sourcing, market mapping, and pipeline development. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing recruitment strategies to identify and secure hard-to-find skillsets across Ireland and international markets. They will be experienced in building global talent pipelines and engaging passive candidates in competitive and skills-short sectors. Whilst experience within the aviation industry would be advantageous, we welcome applications from recruiters who have successfully delivered specialist hiring campaigns within other technical, regulated, engineering, or hard-to-fill sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing & Attraction
• Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates across a variety of specialist and hard-to-fill roles.
• Utilise direct sourcing techniques including LinkedIn Recruiter, headhunting, networking, referrals, industry associations, and market research.
• Build and maintain active talent pipelines for current and future business requirements.
• Conduct competitor and market mapping exercises to identify target talent pools both domestically and internationally.
• Identify innovative recruitment channels and sourcing approaches to improve candidate attraction outcomes.
• Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
• Support international recruitment initiatives where required. This may include occasional travel abroad.
Candidate Experience & Employer Branding
• Deliver a positive, professional, and inclusive candidate experience.
• Work closely with HR on employer branding initiatives to position the organisation as an employer of choice.
Recruitment Delivery, Administration & Compliance
• Ensure recruitment activities comply with employment legislation and company policies.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop and maintain accurate job descriptions.
• Conduct candidate screening, competency-based interviews, and assessment activities to evaluate suitability against role requirements.
• Manage and coordinate the interview process.
• Complete pre-employment checks, including reference checks, right-to-work verification, employment verification, and other required screening activities.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and applicant tracking systems.
• Produce recruitment metrics and reports to support business decision-making.
• Support onboarding activities and ensure a smooth transition for new starters.
• Support with general office administration duties as required.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in a recruitment, talent acquisition, or specialist search environment.
• Demonstrable success in directly sourcing and securing candidates for engineering, technical, hard-to-fill roles.
• Proven experience in highly competitive talent markets.
• Strong experience identifying, engaging, and converting passive candidates through direct sourcing methodologies.
• Experience conducting talent mapping and competitor analysis to support hiring decisions.
• Track record of recruiting across multiple geographic regions, including international candidate markets.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence managers constructively.
• Strong networking and relationship-building capability.
• Ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously while maintaining a high-quality candidate experience.
• Knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment compliance requirements
• Experience recruiting within the aviation industry (desirable)
