Prestwick Aircraft Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will oversee and work on improvement projects related to all aspects of the business.
Working closely with the General and Base Maintenance Manager the Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects ensuring they are completed within agreed timeframes. As well as supplying detailed status updates and will be expected to deal with any minor project issues with little to no supervision.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- See projects from the idea stage through to full implementation.
- Preparing project status reports by collecting, analysing and summarising information before recommending actions to be taken.
- Determine project schedules by studying project plans and specifications, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements.
- Arrange and chair project meetings.
- Assist in the development of existing and new processes.
- Motivate team members to complete tasks on schedule.
- Monitor KPI performance.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or very strong technical background with a proven record of problem solving and results.
- Good Organisational, analytical & strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate directly with engineers and managers.
- Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft suite and Trello and advantage.
- Work with a high level of individual responsibility.
