Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance Limited (PAM) is the main heavy aircraft maintenance provider for Ryanair, carrying out maintenance on Ryanair's fleet of 272 New Generation Boeing 737-800 series aircraft, at our Hangar facility at Prestwick International Airport, Ayrshire, Scotland.

Reports to: Workshop Supervisor

Location: Glasgow Prestwick International Airport

Duties Include:

• Coats surfaces of aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices.
• Removes old paint from aircraft/components using orbital sander - liquid paint remover and scraper.
• Good experience of prepping surfaces.
• Roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure paint adheres to surface.
• Paints insignia, letters or numerals on aircraft surface using stencils.
• Maintain a high standard of work in all tasks
• Complete the appropriate documentation
• Comply with all company procedures, policies, regulations and MOE
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to

Requirements

• Must have extensive experience in vehicle or aviation painting
• Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned job related tasks is mandatory
• Excellent spoken and written English is essential
• Willing to work shifts (including nights)
• Flexible approach to working in a fast changing environment
• All applicants must have an unrestricted right to work in the UK
