JCAM is currently recruiting a Progress Chaser in Porto (OPO), Portugal.

The primary responsibility of the Progress Chaser is to coordinate with the production team, stores, and supply chain teams to ensure parts, materials, and tools are delivered on time for any maintenance input, in order to achieve the scheduled aircraft return to service date. This role requires close communication with each department supervisors and with suppliers & vendors to guarantee the timely availability of the necessary components, preventing delays and production disruptions. Additionally, they must keep the stores team informed of any potential issues.
The ideal candidate for this position must be adaptable and proactive, capable of working across multiple departments. A background in production, logistics, or supply chain operations is essential.
Main tasks for this role will be:
•To coordinate between Engineering Facility and Supply chain to provide materials, spares and tooling on time.
•To prepare requisition and pre-load spares, materials and tooling required for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inputs.
•Maintain an up-to-date inventory of materials and tools/equipment needed for routine and non-routine work packages.
•Keep track of the all the robberies (if any) and coordinate with respective supply chain for the back fill plan.
•Coordinate with stores staff daily preloaded spares list.
•To maintain current list of all shortages and inform Local Management Team of all shortfalls for procurement plans.
•Follow up with supply chain for creating the repair orders for components that can be repaired in-house as per workshop capability.
•Follow up with relevant shops on progress of ship-shop-ship items. Ensuring that items are returned back on time as requested.
Requirements
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant aviation qualification or certification is preferred.
- Knowledge in maintenance management software (e.g., AMOS) would be desired.
- Candidates will need to have a technical background experience ideally within the aviation industry.
- Highly organized individual with the ability to balance multiple priorities and hit tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Willing to work shift.
