Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting a Payroll Specialist to join Europe's largest airline group.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious candidate to work within a highly experienced payroll team assisting in the preparation and delivery of in-house and outsourced payrolls. This is a busy and complex monthly payroll for employees and crew requiring a high level of attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have strong time management skills, attention to detail and an ability to work calmly under pressure. They must be able to work from their own initiative while being an integral part of our team.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to work with an experienced team gaining payroll experience within the Aviation Industry.

Responsibilities

  • Process the start to finish payrolls for multiple EMEA countries
  • Support system integrations between HR and global payroll systems including resolving discrepancies
  • Update payroll in relation to salary changes for movements within the Company.
  • Check the input of information relating to new starters i.e. tax, bank information etc.
  • Preparation of monthly payroll related journals
  • Assist in the work on current expansion projects and ad-hoc reporting as the need arises
  • Test new set up, system enhancements, system updates and integrations affecting Global Payroll
  • Prepare and process spreadsheets for variable payments/deductions
  • Prepare and bulk load spreadsheets to the payroll
  • Assist with internal controls and procedures, including documentation and testing
  • Preparation of 3rd party payments · Participate in different payroll projects and other opportunities as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience working in payroll
  • Experience processing payroll in Italy, for Italian companies or Italian based employees
  • The ability to work as part of a team 
  • Candidates who hold experience with SAP and Employee Central Payroll will be at a distinct advantage.
  • Proven computer skills including advanced Excel
  • An efficient and methodical work ethic - accuracy and attention to detail are essential
  • Ability to meet deadlines, strong interpersonal skills and a professional manner
  • Flexible work style and ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing work demands
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required
