Ryanair Labs are currently recruiting for a BI Engineer to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group!

The Role

We are looking for a BI Developer to work in a multi-disciplined team, working alongside Senior Business Intelligence Developers, Business Analysts, Data Scientists and DBAs. The role will allow you to develop and implement wide-ranging solutions for the entire business.

The duties will include:

  • Analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support of end-to-end BI solutions using a variety of tools.
  • Participation in the application of Data Governance principles in a best-in-class Business Intelligence environment.
  • Power BI Development, Design and development and implementation of best-in-class Power BI Solutions
  • ETL, Data Warehouse Modelling, OLAP, processes documentation and BI solution delivery
  • Engaging directly with the business
  • Provide recommendations to improve system functionality and processes within the BI environment.

This role will build the successful candidate’s ability to work on their own, or as part of a larger group to deliver best in class BI tools for a dynamic company. You shouldn’t be afraid to try new solutions or technologies in order to solve a problem – we encourage people to use their initiative to solve anything that comes their way.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Min. 1.5 years BI Development experience
  • Experience with Power BI. DAX, Power Query, Tabular Editor Development/Administration/Optimisation /Best Practices
  • SQL Server Skills including tuning and optimisation.
  • Understanding of modern data architectures (i.e., data warehouse, data lake, data lake-house etc.)
  • Experience with or exposure to Data Warehouse modelling/Relational modelling.
  • Experience with or exposure to steps of the data engineering lifecycle (i.e. ingestion, storage, transformation, serving) with a modern data stack are a plus
  • ETL programming skills, including experience with large code bases, complex data structures, and a variety of BI development tools
  • Experience with cloud solutions particularly Databricks is a plus
  • Proven problem solver – Ability to come up with unique solutions to unique problems.
  • Fluent in English.
