Ryanair is expanding its state-of-the-art Simulator Centre in Kraków and is looking for talented engineers to join our Simulator Engineering Team. About the Role
As a Simulator Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring our Full Flight Simulators (FSTDs) operate at peak performance, meeting the highest EASA Level D standards. You’ll work in a dynamic environment where the simulators run more than 20 hours per day, supporting Ryanair’s growing pilot training programme.
Your duties will include:

  • Conducting daily readiness checks and ensuring maximum simulator uptime.
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on simulator hardware and software.
  • Installing and validating aircraft loadable software, and implementing vendor or aircraft service bulletins.
  • Coordinating with pilots, instructors, and technical inspectors to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Executing scheduled Quality Test Guide (QTG) procedures and analysing results.
  • Designing and implementing modifications to keep simulators in line with the latest aircraft configurations.
  • Managing spare parts stock and liaising with suppliers and simulator manufacturers.
  • Leading defect clearance sessions with flight crew and evaluating simulator performance, including visual databases.
  • Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and Ryanair’s quality management system.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For - 


We welcome applications from both developing and experienced engineers:
Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Formal training or apprenticeship in electronic, avionics, or related engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of digital systems, complex networking, and distributed microprocessor control.
  • Experience in flight simulation, avionics, or related aerospace technology (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
  • Ability to diagnose and solve technical issues under time pressure.

For Senior-Level Candidates:

  • Proven track record maintaining simulators to CS-FSTD(A) Issue 2 or equivalent standards.
  • Experience managing maintenance schedules, compliance documentation, and regulatory inspections.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical projects.
