Buzz, part of the Ryanair Group, is pleased to announce that we are now recruiting B737 Non-Type Rated Captains to join Europe’s largest airline group, with training courses commencing this winter.
This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and experienced pilots to become part of a rapidly expanding operation within the Ryanair Group, operating from a wide range of Buzz bases. Should your application be shortlisted, you will be invited to complete an online assessment as the first step in the selection process.
This requirement is in line with EASA regulations, which mandate that all new pilots undertake a Work-Related Behavioural Assessment prior to commencing training (EASA CAT.GEN.MPA.175).
This is completed in two phases:
Phase 1 - Online Assessment
- Conducted online via AON
- A fee of €60 applies (non-refundable, regardless of outcome)
- Captains are required to complete one task
Phase 2 - Simulator and In-person Interview
- A comprehensive psychological evaluation which forms part of the overall Simulator Assessment and in-person Interview.
Only candidates who successfully complete and meet the required standards in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 will be eligible to be offered a position.
Requirements
- Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU
- Date of Birth – (Not over 65)
- EASA Part FCL licence holder
- Valid EU (Part-MED) Class 1 medical
- Minimum 3,500 hours total flying time
- Minimum of 2,000 hours on a Multi-crew, Multi-engine Jet aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg MTOW with an established airline, cargo operator or Military transport.
- Minimum of 800 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) for EASA Licence holders on a Multi-crew, Multi-engine jet aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg. (No PIC hours on Turboprop aircraft shall be considered).
- For EASA licence holders the application must be made within 36 months of the most recent relevant Type Rating “Valid Until” date specified in Section XII “Certificate of Revalidation”. i.e. the Rating must not have expired for longer than 3 years at the intended course commencement date.
- Must have operated on Multi-crew, Multi-engine jet aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg within the 36 months prior to the course start date.
- English Language Proficiency – minimum required proficiency Level is Operational Level (Level 4). (Written proficiency is required at Operational level). (Reference: ICAO Doc 9835).
- Ability to pass an enhanced background check and meet all other regulatory requirements.
