Description
Kaunas Aircraft Maintenance Services is one of Ryanair's technical support bases in Europe, located at Kaunas airport, Lithuania. Our daily task is to perform technical maintenance and repair for Boeing 737-800 aircraft which are serviced in our hangars. KAMS goal is to provide highest level of services and ensure Ryanair passengers fly safely.
Job Purpose
The Technical Standards Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling maintenance standards, procedures, and technical documentation that support safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft maintenance operations. Acting as a key link between operational teams, Safety, and Compliance functions, the role ensures that technical requirements are clearly communicated, consistently applied, and effectively managed across the organisation. The position also supports continuous improvement and key organisational change.
Position is full time (I-V 8.00-17.00). Based in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Responsibilities
- Assist in amendments of the organisation’s procedures and manuals (MOE, including the associated procedure(s)) with due consideration of EASA/UKCAA regulatory requirement and any other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for assisting PAML Managers and Supervisors to complete effective root cause and corrective actions in relation to safety occurrences, information security events/vulnerabilities and findings raised as a result of compliance audits or internal reporting scheme output.
- Responsible for compliance with and promotion of the Safety Policy and Objectives.
- Assist in the timely closure of appropriate group containment and corrective actions because of safety occurrences, audit findings or information security events/vulnerabilities.
- Review of OJT Logbooks to support application for first type rating endorsement.
- Responsible for standardising processes and procedures across all sites within PAML group and the wider Ryanair network.
- Responsible for the assessment of alternative tools and management of technical documentation system
- Responsible for the assessment of proposed C/S & S/S individuals and composition of the application for company approval to be reviewed and accepted by the Compliance Department.
- Responsible for review of OJT applications in accordance with UK/EU Part 66
- Drive Continuous improvement within PAML group and PAML management of change process
- Promote and apply human factors principles throughout all duties.
- Navigate and utilize engineering systems including:
- Boeing fleet technical documentation systems
- Digital technical document libraries
- Technical Services Query dashboards
- Work in accordance with company manuals and procedures, including:
- Maintenance Organisation Exposition’s (MOE)
- Technical Standards Manual (TSM)
- Safety Management Manual (SMM)
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements (EASA/UK CAA Part 145 & Part CAMO) would be a distinct advantage
- Attention to detail and high standards of documentation accuracy
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong safety mindset and awareness of human factors
- Experience in aircraft maintenance or technical support environment
- Knowledge of document control/revision in a technical/regulated environment
- Familiarity with MyBoeingFleet
- Knowledge and experience of using AMOS
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suit and Smartsheet
