Project Engineer in Aviation

Kaunas Aircraft Maintenance Services (KAMS) is one of Ryanair’s technical support bases in Europe, located at Kaunas Airport, Lithuania. Our daily work involves performing technical maintenance and repair of Boeing 737-800NG and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in our hangars. As part of our continuous expansion, we are rapidly increasing our capacity and will soon be able to service up to 6 aircraft simultaneously.

 

  • Support Hangar Supervisors with ad hoc operational projects in a maintenance environment;
  • Manage and update Smartsheet dashboards and trackers;
  • Lead and assist with projects related to organisation expansion and facility upgrades;
  • Coordinate tooling purchases, renewals, specification reviews, and implementation into operational use;
  • Perform small 3D printing tasks for tooling aids, process improvements, and minor engineering solutions; 
  • Assist in planning and executing facility improvement initiatives; 
  • Prepare project documentation, status reports, and progress summaries;
  • Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, tooling, and facilities teams to ensure smooth project delivery;
  • Ensure all project activities meet relevant Part 145 and company procedures.

Requirements

 

  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem solving skills;
  • Good communication abilities when working with engineers, mechanics, and management;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and Excel;
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of responsibility;
  • Good understanding of Part 145 regulatory requirements (or willingness to learn);
  • Time management skills, attention to detail and a practical, improvement focused mindset;
  • Creativity and hands on approach to technical challenges.

Salary

1818-2975 €/mon. gross
Salary will be based on experience
