Description

Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance GmbH is a German company and one of the six Heavy Aircraft Maintenance bases of PAML Group. We Carry out maintenance on Ryanair’s entire fleet of the New Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft, at our hangar facility located in Hahn Airport, Germany. 

Your Future and Career Goal
The students will engage in various activities on a live aircraft, specifically focusing on the Boeing 737 Next Generation (737 NG). These activities include:

  • Performing Tasks: Students will carry out assigned maintenance and operational tasks on the aircraft, gaining practical experience in real-world scenarios. 
  • Conducting Checks: They will be responsible for performing routine and non-routine checks to ensure the aircraft's systems and components are functioning correctly. 
  • Accompanying Troubleshooting: Students will assist and learn from experienced technicians during troubleshooting processes, helping to identify and resolve issues.
  • Participating in Theoretical Trainings: They will attend theoretical training sessions to understand the underlying principles and procedures related to aircraft maintenance and operations. 
  • Using Documentation (AMM, IPC, FIM): Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM): Students will use the Manuals for detailed instructions on performing maintenance work.

 

Requirements

Educational Background:
Students currently enrolled in an aviation maintenance, aviation engineering, or a related technical program. Students who have completed or are in the process of completing courses related to aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and engineering principles

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Technical Aptitude: A good understanding of basic mechanical and electrical principles. 
  • Familiarity with Technical Manuals: Basic knowledge of how to use technical documentation such as the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), and Fault Isolation Manual (FIM), even if not applied practically yet. 
  • Attributes and Attitudes: Detail-oriented, Eager to Learn, Team Player, Problem-Solving Mindset, and Safety Awareness. 
  • Basic Certifications (Optional but Beneficial): Introductory Certifications: While not mandatory, any introductory certifications or training courses in aviation maintenance or related fields can be advantageous.

***AMC Program - 12 weeks to become a Mechanic level 3 or JAE Program ( B1 or B2 Modules to become in 2 years time a qualified B1 or a B2 License Engineer)
