Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Senior Graphic Designer to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group!

We’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who will play a vital role in our in-house Design team’s success. Reporting to the Design Lead, you must have a high attention to detail, ensuring that all brand guidelines are met and also contributing to their development. This role requires a multi-disciplinary designer who has equal and strong experience across digital, print and motion.
To be successful in this role, you should have extensive knowledge of graphic design styles and techniques, always keeping up to date with latest software features and trends. Ultimately, an excellent senior graphic designer will ensure that the design team promotes the vision of the company through high-quality graphic content. One of the biggest involvements as a senior member of the team is to mentor more junior members and ensure their growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the Design Lead and taking ownership on big stakeholder projects by generating creative ideas, while also being a vital member of our dynamic team
- Collaborating with professionals in strategy for CRM, Video, Brand and Social
- Diving deep into the marketing strategy and seeing how it can be injected into work across the business
- Demonstrating the ability to work independently while also using initiative to support the Design Lead on high level projects where support is needed
- Art working final project outputs by ensuring all are meeting brand guidelines and standards
- Ensuring that work by junior members of the team are meeting standards by completing quality control on all outputs
- Comfortable making evidence-based design decisions through research, observation and experimentation
- Creating layouts, designs, images, and other visual elements that effectively communicate our tone of voice and concept to an audience
- Researching current industry trends (including AI) to identify new design opportunities and how they can benefit us by keeping our brand fresh
- Presenting designs to stakeholders for approval processes and investment
- Ability to take on last minute or timely requests and prioritise workload accordingly to meet all business’ needs
- Setting the standard of what work should be held to and how it is managed
- High level ideation for stunts and brand activations, creation of innovative and out of the box ideas that reflect the Ryanair brand
- Being highly organised with files and implementation needs
- Supporting on social content ideation for brand campaigns - seeing how a campaign can be executed on different channels appropriately
Requirements
- 5+ year’s experience working within an in-house design team or agency, ideally min 1 year experience in a senior role
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
- Ability to deliver creative solutions in a fast paced environment
- Strong portfolio showcasing skills across digital and print
- Organised, communicative, detail-orientated and have a strong attention to detail
- Full knowledge of the Adobe suite; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, After Effects
- Good presentation skills, able to articulate design thoughts and processes well
- Motion graphic design and knowledge of AI tools strongly desirable
- Ability to multitask by managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a professional manner
- Copywriting skills desirable
