Description
Ryanair are currently recuiting for a Rostering Operations Planning Manager to join our Inflight team of Europe's largest airline group.

This is a key operational planning role focused on delivering efficient, compliant and resilient cabin crew rosters in a fast-moving airline environment. The successful candidate will lead a rostering team, use data to improve planning decisions, and drive optimisation through reporting, automation, BI tools and AI-enabled process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead short-term cabin crew rostering in the pre-operational planning window, ensuring rosters are optimised, compliant and resilient before moving into live operational control.
- Manage, support and develop the Rostering Operations Planning team, ensuring strong performance, clear priorities and high-quality delivery.
- Use data, reporting and BI tools to improve crew coverage, roster quality, productivity, cost efficiency and planning performance.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and apply AI-enabled tools to improve workflows, query handling and decision-making.
- Ensure rosters comply with flight time limitations, fatigue management requirements, company procedures and applicable aviation regulations.
- Work closely with Crew Control, Training, HR, Inflight Operations and technology teams to support stable operations and improve planning systems.
- Monitor key planning risks, including crew cover, roster stability, training compliance and operational resilience.
- Support operational planning projects and provide cover for senior planning colleagues when required.
Requirements
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, with advanced Excel essential.
- Experience with BI tools, dashboards, automation, data visualisation or AI-enabled process improvement is a strong advantage.
- Previous experience in rostering, workforce planning, operations planning, aviation, logistics, transport or another fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, coach and organise a busy team.
- Clear optimisation mindset, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and turn data into practical improvements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around compliance, process and operational risk.
- A degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Mathematics, Operations or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of flight time limitations, fatigue management or aviation rostering systems would be an advantage.
