Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Safety Manager to join the Ground Ops Team of Europe's Largest Airline Group

The Regulatory Safety Manager – Ground Operations will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the ground operations safety program in accordance with local and European aviation regulations (e.g., EASA, IAA, CAA, ICAO, IATA). This role will ensure our procedures and training programs support a culture of safety and compliance across all ground services, including passenger handling, ramp, baggage, towing, and de-icing operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and oversee ground operations safety management systems (SMS) and ensure alignment with applicable aviation regulations.

Monitor compliance with regulatory safety requirements and company policies across all ground handling operations.

Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.

Liaise with regulatory authorities and represent the organization during inspections or compliance reviews.

Collaborate with GOPs training departments to ensure ground personnel receive proper safety and regulatory training.

Maintain and update manuals, SOPs, and documentation in accordance with evolving regulations.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety culture and operational efficiency.

Serve as a subject matter expert for safety-related policies, standards, and best practices.

Monitor and analyse safety trends and provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Safety Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation ground operations with a strong background in safety and regulatory compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant aviation safety regulations (IAA, CAA, EASA, ICAO, IATA Ground Operations Manual).
- Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS), audit protocols, and regulatory inspections.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
