Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join Europe's Largest Airline Group.

This is an excellent time to join Ryanair as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests within the next 10 years. 
This is a brand new role within the Construction Department of Ryanair with oversight across a wide aspect of project and regions. From office fitouts to hangar development across our entire European network, this is an exciting and fulfilling role for an experienced surveyor with 5+ years’ experience.

The Role involves; 

  • Conduct feasibility studies on proposed projects and provide budget/progress reports
  • Prepare tender packages and manage contract preparation 
  • Evaluate risk, value engineering and cost control measures
  • Analyse maintenance costs versus capital costs & assess post-occupancy lifecycle advice
  • Check actual schedules versus planned schedules 
  • Oversee and value contractors' work for payments 
  • Analyse outcomes and provide budget/progress reports
  • Advise on claims, disputes and any contractual issues
  • Your work will be based in Dublin and will involve visits to sites around the Ryanair Network as required
  • Staying up to date on building codes and safety protocols
  • Provide guidance on property leases 
  • Help initiate new construction projects & site acquisition 
     

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Quantity Surveyor and a track record of delivery. 
  • Degree and/or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management  
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedure
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards. 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office essential & AutoCAD an advantage. 
  • Outstanding communication and written skills including English 
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
