Description

Reporting to the Head of Materials, Repairs & Logistics, this person will manage the repair cycle of aircraft components across Ryanair’s fleet. This includes overseeing third-party repair vendors, ensuring timely turnaround of parts, managing costs, and maintaining compliance with aviation regulations. You will play a key role in supporting both Line and Heavy Maintenance operations by ensuring repaired components are available when needed. Duties include Managing the following:

  • Manage the end-to-end process for component repairs, including dispatch, tracking, and return to service.
  • Oversee relationships with approved repair vendors and ensure performance against agreed SLAs.
  • Monitor and control repair costs, warranty, and contract compliance.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and traceability of repaired components in line with EASA/CAA/FAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with Planning and other Engineering teams to forecast repair needs and optimize inventory.
  • Preparation and control of Materials budget
  • Management of the open RO Book to ensure timely delivery of components.
  • Supporting Heavy Maintenance Materials requirements.
  • Supporting Line Maintenance Materials requirements.
  • Cost control
  • Management of the Logistics Team
  • Management of the Stores
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline/automate repair processes and reduce downtime.
  • Contract negotiation.
  • AOG and defect control.
  • KPI development for Materials department
  • Simulator & Challenger support.

Requirements

  • A relevant qualification at degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role essential.
  • Experience in negotiating at a Senior level.
  • Be highly organised and have ability to handle a wide variety of tasks in a highly pressurised environment.
  • Excellent numerical ability and contract experience.
  • The ability to work on own initiative.
  • A mature sense of judgement.
  • Proven computer skills and be an effective communicator.
