Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Junior Accountant to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group!

The Role

At Ryanair, we are currently recruiting for an organised, efficient junior accountant with an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy to support the CS Finance team with reporting, invoicing and facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders. The suitable person is from a finance operations background, with experience in a high volume, high transaction ecommerce business with a proven ability to innovate and think outside the box.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Ensure all invoices are received in a timely manner for month-end processing.
  • Carry out detailed analysis of different types of claims processed through CS team.
  • Ensure high accuracy and quality of any data input to systems and reported to management to deliver the level of monitoring and control demanded by the strategy set at group level.
  • Review & reconciliation of daily customer service payment files.
  • Assist with annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Support the annual external audit.
  • Participate in process improvement projects, including the development and implementation of new business processes and best practices that deliver to the objectives of tighter controls.
  • Carry out other ad-hoc support and report creation as required by management.

Requirements

  • Part qualified accountant with minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy accounts department.
  • High level of accuracy and ethical behaviour when dealing with sensitive financial information.
  • Experience in both finance operation and customer operations would be beneficial. 
  • Ability to learn quickly and to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and ability to be a team player. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, is vital.
