Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Heavy Maintenance Standards & Compliance Engineer to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group!

This is a very exciting time to join Ryanair as we look to expand our operation to 800 aircraft and 300 million guests within the next 10 years.

The successful candidate should expect regular overseas travel to accomplish their duties. This will involve building close relationships with Contracted MRO suppliers whilst overseeing Technical Standards for Heavy Maintenance inputs on the growing fleet of 737NG, 737MAX and A320 aircraft within the Ryanair Group of Airlines (Ryanair DAC, Buzz, Malta Air, Ryanair UK, Lauda Europe.)

Based In our Engineering office in Swords you will be part of the Heavy Maintenance team, responsible for ensuring that Ryanair maintains its industry leading safety standards across a broad range of contracted heavy maintenance providers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out independent reviews of technical standards of work accomplishment at contracted MRO organisations.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements both within the supplier processes and procedures and within the Ryanair interface agreement and other documentation.
  • Identifying industry ‘best practice’ across the range of suppliers and driving change to bring all Ryanair contracted heavy maintenance organisations up to the highest standards.
  • Managing customer audit findings and working with suppliers to ensure robust corrective and preventative action plans are implemented and enforced.
  • Investigating safety reports, maintenance errors and potential errors as part of our SMS.
  • Identifying trends in reports and taking appropriate action as required.

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate:

  • Has worked as a senior mechanic or certifying staff or standards/compliance engineer in an airline engineering and / or aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organization.
  • Will have heavy/base maintenance experience with Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft types.
  • Knowledge of EASA Part CAMO and Part 145 regulations.
  • Has completed a degree in an engineering subject or hold an EASA or UK Part 66 AML or equivalent technical experience.
