Description

Ryanair is currently recruiting a Head of Inflight Planning to join Europe's Largest Airline Group.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a data driven individual to join the Inflight team to lead Workforce planning, Rostering and Operational Planning.

The successful candidate will be based in our HQ in Dublin and work closely with senior management and C-suite. They will be responsible for leading a large team that are critical in maintaining Ryanair’s industry leading rosters and operational efficiencies, which are key to the airlines further success.

Reporting to the Director of Inflight, main areas of responsibility is to deliver optimisation on workforce planning, recruitment, rostering in a cost-effective manner and utilize key data to make informed and transformational business decisions concerning the network-wide Inflight team

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Monitor and review workforce trends to build complex planning models to deliver cost effective crewing ratios.
  • Building optimisation tools that improve roster planning and optimisation while maintaining Ryanair's strategic crewing ratios.
  • Provide concise business reporting to senior stakeholders, summarising operational status, key trends, performance statistics, risks, issues and proposed solutions to support timely decision-making
  • Develop automation of processes by understanding end-to-end workflows and delivering automated solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Long- and short-term manpower planning and continuous adjustments based off recruitment trends.
  • Continually reviewing rostering and operational data to develop and implement compliant short, medium- and long-term crew rostering plans/strategies.
  • Working as the key coordinator between the wider business and operations planning, with a view to deliver long-term company objectives and commercial value.
  • Establishing and maintaining a strong working relationship with various other departments such as HR, Flight Operations, Finance, the Chief Pilots Office and Operations Control.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements

  • Commercially aware with ability to focus on efficiency and cost control
  • Numerically or data driven, with a keen eye for high-level analytics and calculations
  • Candidates with backgrounds in strategic planning, commercial finance, data analytics, management consulting or process improvement will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with change or project management.
  • Passion and keen interest in aviation.
