Description
Ryanair is currently recruiting for a Head of Contracted Heavy Maintenance to join the Engineering Team of Europe’s largest airline group.
This is an exciting time to join as the Group continues its growth to over 800 aircraft and 300 million passengers annually over the next eight years.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and driven airline engineering professional, responsible for the oversight of the Scheduled Heavy Maintenance programme across multiple MROs and locations.
Reporting to the Deputy Director – Heavy Maintenance, this role provides senior-level oversight and governance of all contracted maintenance activities. This is a new role, heavily focussed on driving standardisation across all contracted organisations. The position will also deputise for the Deputy Director as required. With operations spread across Europe and beyond, regular travel and strong remote leadership capability are essential.
Role Description
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Heavy Maintenance you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with the Safety and Quality Policy as detailed in Ryanair Group operator CAMEs
- Ensuring all contracted maintenance organisations deliver aircraft to the highest standards of quality and airworthiness. Implementing learnings from maintenance errors and audits across the organisation.
- Project manage internal expansion program to ensure on-time completion of base set ups / expansions
- Oversight of processes of all contracted maintenance providers, ensuring all work is accomplished to the exacting standards required by Ryanair.
- Drive standards improvement and efficiency projects across the bases.
- Lead the way on development and implementation of new technology and working practices.
- Ensuring timely closure of the appropriate corrective action resulting from non-conformance findings from Quality System independent audits, ARC audits, IAA audits and ACAM audits
- Trending of corrective actions and improvements to support best working practices.
- To Identify and champion continuous improvement initiatives for cost and delivery.
- Highlight and develop areas for cross functional integration between other departments in the Ryanair Group.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Part 145 base maintenance organisation in a senior management role.
- Extensive experience of working in the aviation industry and with Regulators.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Aviation Regulations, Management Systems, Compliance monitoring and SMS.
