Ryanair is building our first ever Engine Shop – a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility that will overhaul and test 200+ CFM56 & LEAP-1B engines annually.
As Europe’s No.1 airline with 600+ aircraft today growing to 800 over the next decade, this investment marks a huge step forward in our strategy to bring more capability in-house, reduce costs, and ensure world-class reliability for our passengers.
We’re now searching for a General Manager to lead this engine shop from the ground up. This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to:

The Day to Day of Role:
- Deliver results at scale: Oversee 200+ engine overhauls each year, delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Lead & inspire: Build and develop a world-class team, driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Innovate & optimise: Introduce new technologies and smarter processes to push performance and reliability even further.
- Build strong partnerships: Secure the right suppliers, tooling, and parts to keep operations running at peak capacity.
- Champion compliance & quality: Ensure every overhaul meets the highest regulatory, company, and OEM standards.
- Solve problems fast: Identify risks early and put robust strategies in place to keep the shop running without disruption.
- Workforce Management: Oversee a workforce of 600 ensuring sufficient workforce planning, development, and management succession to ensure skills and capabilities meet the demands of the facility.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ leadership experience in engine MRO
- Strong project management and operational leadership skills
- Passion for safety, quality, and efficiency
- A proven ability to deliver results at scale
- Unrestricted right to travel freely throughout Europe.
