Description

Based within our Flight Operations department at Ryanair's Head Office you will be responsible for all aspects of the Ryanair Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) system and its future development. The successful candidate will also be involved in activities related to Operations Control Centre (OCC) and Labs/ IT.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a strong interest in joining the operations department of Europe’s largest airline. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is open to learning about the various demands of Airline Operations. This role will be report into the Finance Manager – Ground Operations as a permanent position based in our Dublin HQ.

Duties Include

  • Responsible person for the administration of the complete Ryanair EFB system incl. working closely with Ryanair IT EFB team.
  • Hardware, software, operating systems, mobile device management, system administration and preparation of weekly reports, Maintenance of the EFB Policy and Procedures Manual and Terms of Reference manual, contract management.
  • Provide support to Pilots regarding EFB requests, requirements, and troubleshooting.
  • Providing training and ensuring compliance of all EFB personnel.
  • Responsible person for the development of internal and third party EFB applications with Ryanair Labs and Third-Party Vendors (EFL, Vistair, Jeppesen etc.)
  • Oversee the testing, validation, and deployment of all applications on Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) devices.
  • Liaise with suppliers for purchase of new EFB devices – budgeting and planning the purchase and rollout of all device requirements.
  • Preparing and liaising with all departments, the logistics for EFB shipments and returns.
  • Responsible for the Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) reporting for Ryanair Group, preparation of the Emission data (monthly/ annually and as requested) reconciliation of the fuel data to coincide with approved monitoring plans and procedures.
  • Manage and Administrate technical systems for Operations and support the OCC with technical and analytical requirements.
  • Main point of contact between OCC and Labs for system development, upgrades, and bug fixes (BI, Labs OPS, Infra, Dev)
  • Liaise with OCC and IT for troubleshooting for all technical issues.
  • Manage and coordinate weekly updates across all AOCs, including manuals, airfield briefs, and other operational documentation.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as requested.

Requirements

  • Proactive work ethic and ability to work on own initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills - Experience using Microsoft Suite
  • Candidate with knowledge of Airline Ops systems and processes will be at a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in providing application support to end users (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Apple iPad & iOS systems (Knowledge of applicable EFB requirements and regulations, is desirable)
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of professional / personal flexibility
