Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Deputy Purchasing Manager to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group!

 

The successful candidate will manage the sourcing, purchasing, and distribution of all aircraft parts for our fleet of over 600 aircraft. The successful candidate will play an essential role in ensuring we have sufficient parts and materials to support Europe’s largest airline. Duties include:

  • Controlling the purchase of our Material requirements
  • Assisting with recovering AOGs and achieving a lower HIL ratio.  
  • Liaising with suppliers on any materials issues including supply, cost, quality etc.
  • Controlling costs associated with the Purchase of Materials, including producing and monitoring the annual budget.
  • Assisting all Stores in our Network to ensure the smooth running of our operation. 
  • Assisting in managing the purchasing teams in all locations.
  • Management of the Warranty and Invoicing group
  • Assisting the Heavy Maintenance management team to support check aircraft.
  • Management of BFE to ensure all parts meet on-dock dates.
  • Assist in developing KPIs for the department
  • Being the problem solver of vendor issues
  • Ensuring that procedures are accurate and that they are followed.
  • Working with all Engineering Departments to ensure that all queries are quickly resolved. 
  • Accomplish other such duties as may be reasonably directed by Management

Requirements

  • Experience in negotiating at senior level.
  • Excellent numerical ability and contract experience.
  • A sound knowledge of computer systems
  • The ability to work on own initiative
  • A mature sense of judgement
  • Be highly organised and have the ability to handle a wide variety of tasks in a highly pressurised environment.
  • Proven computer skills and be an effective communicator
