Ryanair is currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager to join Europe’s Favourite Airline!
We have an excellent opportunity for a driven, commercially minded leader with strong financial acumen to join our Commercial Department as a senior member of the Commercial Finance Team.
The Role
This is an important position in Ryanair, one of Ireland’s largest and most successful companies and one of the world’s largest airlines. The Commercial Finance Team is a small team with high visibility and impact. You will have exposure to all levels of the business and make a major contribution to helping us achieve our growth target of 300m passengers by 2034.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the successful candidate will:
- Lead Ryanair’s bi annual planning process, owning the commercial assessment of new aircraft deployment, route frequency planning, and the evaluation of new market opportunities across Europe.
- Oversee ongoing commercial performance reviews, identifying opportunities for growth or enhanced profitability and recommending corrective action when required.
- Become a subject matter expert on our competitors and feed these insights into our own strategy.
- Partner with Route Development leadership to ensure airport cost structures, incentive schemes and negotiation outcomes are commercially optimised and aligned with long term strategic objectives.
- Own the preparation and delivery of monthly executive level commercial reporting, including route profitability, network performance, and commercial KPIs that underpin all capacity allocation decisions.
- Work cross functionally with Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Ryanair Labs, ensuring accurate, robust commercial data is used to drive strategic and operational decisions.
- Lead the evaluation and financial challenge of new airport deals, ensuring commercial, financial, and strategic alignment.
- Manage, coach, and develop analysts, fostering a high performance, growth-oriented team environment.
Requirements
- An accounting, finance, or commercial background with 5-7yrs of experience.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to communicate financial data in a simple and concise manner.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail as what you produce, will be used to inform business decisions impacting millions of customers.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
