Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Buying Exec to join the Retail team of Europe's largest airline group.

This is an excellent time to join Ryanair as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests per year within the next 10 years. 

The successful canddidate should be both enthusiastic and energetic person and thrives whil operating in a very fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for a Buying Assistant or Sales Analyst who wants to take the next steps in their careers while joining one of Europe's largest retail teams with over 640 'shops in the sky' 

Duties include 

  • Assist with product sourcing, supplier selection & contract negotiation under the guidance of the Buying Manager.
  • Contribute to the profitability by increasing the volume of products sold across each category
  • Implement strategy and measure results to be able to make decisions and make a difference.
  • Keep on top of all supplier management, product pricing & general administration.
  • Report and resolve any issues of Chilled, Frozen and fresh ranges, in addition to general product range.
  • Regular communicating of promotions, price changes and new product information to our bond team to ensure stock levels are available when required. 
  • Use of internal channels to promote new product launches, sales promotions and updates to Crew and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of Tradeshows and other events across the Ryanair network
  • Ad-hoc projects and duties 

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales and sales data analysis 
  • Proven track record working with suppliers and/ or B2B customers in a large multi-national organisation is a bonus 
  • Retail Buying or an FMCG background.
  • Hold a relevant 3rd Level Degree in Retail Management, Business Studies or similar
  • Commercial and analytical acumen with strong numerical and forecasting skills in a highly cost sensitive environment 
  • Good communication and negotating skills 
  • Understanding of the Supply Chain process.
