We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person who can operate in a very fast-paced environment. An ambitious and diligent buying assistant or sales analyst who wants to progress in the retail industry and progress in the buying processes. Reporting to the Buying Manager, this is a permanent position and is based in our Head Office in Swords.

  • Successfully contribute to the profitability by increasing the volume of products that are sold within each category.
  • Have excellent ability to implement strategy and measure results and be able to make decision and make a difference.
  • Assist with product sourcing, supplier selection & contract negotiation under the guidance of the Buying Manager.
  • Have experience in financial analysis reporting and development of KPI's. Strong mathematical and analytical skills are essential skills.
  • Be able to keep on top of all supplier management, product pricing & general administration.
  • Reporting and helping to resolve any issues of Chilled and Frozen range as well as the general product range.
  • Have the skills to maintain our internal communications channel.

Short Description

  • Experience in sales analysis crucial - Analysing data and reporting skills important in this role.
  • Previous experience in working with suppliers and or B2B customers in a fast-paced, deadline-driven business is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel Level 3, Outlook, Powerpoint etc.)
  • An FMCG or Retail Buying office background.
  • 3rd Level Degree.
  • A passion for retailing and cost management.
  • Commercial edge and analytical acumen with strong numerical and forecasting skills.
  • Fantastic influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of the supply chain process.
