Ryanair is looking for an Accounts Payable Deputy Manager to lead the AP team based in our Dublin HQ. This is a permanent position and reports to our AP Manager.

The AP Deputy Manager will be required to work in a busy and demanding team environment encompassing all aspects of the Accounts Payable process. The position requires a candidate with a good skill set in software applications, AP processes and communication. Located at Ryanair Head Office, Airside Business Park, Swords, the role will include, but not be limited to, the following:

This role will include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:

  • Assisting with the management of the Accounts Payable function including delegation and monitoring of work amongst the team
  • Management of staff within the AP team
  • Ensuring all work within the AP team is completed in line with internal and external deadlines
  • Liaising with suppliers on a regular basis and resolving various queries with them
  • Management of AP payments, and liaising with the Banking team, to ensure all of Ryanair’s suppliers are paid on a timely basis
  • Assisting with AP weekly reports
  • Drafting of weekly AP forecasts
  • Assisting with close off procedures around AP for month-end, year-end etc.
  • Ensuring compliance with all corporate policies and SOX controls relating to the AP function on an ongoing basis
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors to resolve queries around AP processes/ transactions
  • Monitoring AP systems and assisting with any implementations, improvements and maintenance as required
  • Providing support and information to other departments within Ryanair as required

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have suitable supervisory experience, preferably within an Accounts Payable function. Excellent analytical and people management skills are required.  The candidate should be able to demonstrate a high degree of initiative, have strong interpersonal and communications skills, and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience with below systems is desirable but not mandatory:

  • SAP or other ERP systems
  • Workflow systems/ Airpas system
  • Microsoft Excel and Word
