The Role:
Ryanair is recruiting an ATM Manager to lead all Air Traffic Management (ATM) activities for the Ryanair Network. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Ground Operations, this permanent position in our Operations Department plays a key role in guiding the strategic direction of Ryanair’s involvement in ATM. The standard office hours are: 08:30-17:30 Monday-Thursday, 08:00-17:00 Friday or as required by your Manager and the operation.
The ATM Manager will be responsible for coordinating Ryanair’s airspace and air traffic management (ATM) projects, managing relationships with over 30 Air Navigation Service Providers to ensure delivery of a high quality of service, and working with external bodies to shape the future of air transport in Europe.
Responsibilities Include:
- Representing Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline, at a European level on working groups and at conferences discussing the future of ATM development.
- Project Management of Ryanair’s contribution to the Single European Sky initiative including research and deployment projects.
- Preparation of project tenders for new CEF calls.
- Coordination with Ryanair’s internal technical, legal, and financial teams for periodic project reporting.
- Supplier liaison with over 30 Air Navigation Service Providers including oversight of daily operations, delay investigation and reporting, and overall performance management (safety, environment, cost efficiency, on-time performance).
- Active participation and lobbying for ATM target setting up to an EC/DGMOVE level alongside Ryanair’s Public Affairs team.
- Representation of Ryanair/industry bodies on Governing Boards related to SESAR project management and network management.
Requirements
- Proven Project Management skills.
- Strong data analytical and numerical skills (finance experience would be advantageous).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- High degree of professional / personal flexibility.
- Knowledge of Airline Ops / ATM & ANSP operations / Aircraft systems and processes / SES regulation including performance and charging scheme.
- The role will require international travel.
