Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Payroll Officer for our Belgian market to join Europe's largest airline group.

The successful candidate will work locally in Belgium reporting to our Payroll team in Dublin, this role will also work with our Belgian HR team and our external payroll provider, Group S. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious candidate to work within a highly experienced fast paced team assisting and specialising in the preparation and administration of specific payroll tasks in line with the Belgian system.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a Belgian payroll environment, strong time management skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Loading new worker data and updates into our payroll provider’s internal system;
  • Completing Dimona declarations on the social security portal;
  • Following up with authorities on BISS number applications;
  • Ensure support for payroll administration in collaboration with our Belgian HR team and our payroll providers;
  • Management of employee leaving documentation;
  • Zima declaration creation and sharing with mutualities;
  • Communicating with mutual insurance companies regarding declarations;
  • Monitoring of payments / declarations for sickness and statutory leave;
  • Following up on historic social security issues;
  • Assist our Belgian provider team with payroll issues;
  • Assist our Belgian HR team to the daily employee demands, questions and communication related to all payroll and benefits related matters;
  • Provide follow-up for requests for parental leave, time off, etc.
  • Provide legislative support for absence-related issues;
  • Be a driving force behind continuous improvements in line with changes in legislation;
  • Any other task related to the function.

Requirements

  • Candidates who hold experience with Belgian payroll provider companies such as Group S will be at a distinct advantage;
  • The ability to work as part of a team;
  • Proven computer skills including advanced Excel;
  • An efficient and methodical work ethic - accuracy and attention to detail are essential;
  • Ability to meet deadlines, strong interpersonal skills and a professional manner;
  • Flexible work style and ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing work demands;
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required.
  • Fluency in French (both written & verbal) is a requirement
