Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a People Manager to join the Training Team of the Engineering Dept of Europe’s Largest Airline Group!

This is a very exciting time to join Ryanair as we look to expand our operation to 800 aircraft and 300 million guests within the next 10 years.

The successful candidate will manage a team of training instructors who conduct and oversee the oversee the initial training and all upskilling for over 1000 new recruits each year and our 4000+ Engineering workforce.

This role has the option to be based in either Dublin or London Stansted

Duties include:

  • Direct people management of 50+ training instructors across our growing European network.
  • Ensure all nominated staff are fully trained and assessed regularly for competence and training records are maintained.
  • Ongoing staff development and updating of training is undertaken and recorded.
  • Oversight and development of all training programs to ensure the requirements of Ryanair Engineering operations are met.
  • Management of the Group Engineering Training organization/
  • Ensuring all training courses are planned in line with required manpower and skills.
  • Ensure that all approved courses and examinations are delivered to the standard and content at the required level of knowledge, as specified within the applicable regulation.
  • Ongoing review of qualified staff, facilities, equipment, and materials to ensure they are available to perform the range of training, examinations and assessments required.
  • Continuous assessment and upskilling of Training instructors, examiners, and assessors to ensure competency and delivery of training standards are maintained.
  • Responsible for issuing weekly competency assessment and mandatory training expiry reports to responsible Area Managers/Department Heads and the Director of Engineering..

 

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience managing large people teams across multiple locations.
  • Team player and ability to manage a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Maintaining training requirements / programs in a large organization.
  • Ideally hold a relevant Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Candidates with knowledge of Part147 requirements or previously held a similar position within a Part147 school, will be highly regarded.
