This role is perfect for a dedicated and skilled Sheet Metal Worker with a strong background in engineering and maintenance, seeking to transition into a Structures Workshop Inspector role within a dynamic aviation environment. Bringing hands-on experience in using tooling and performing technical tasks to a high standard. Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance. Eager to develop inspection and documentation skills in a regulated aerospace setting while contributing to high-quality standards and efficient workflow. Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Assist in the inspection of aircraft structural components, learning to identify damage, wear, and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of component workpacks, including technical data, inspection findings, and relevant documentation.
  • Apply existing sheet metal skills to assist with structural repairs, part preparation, and workshop processes as required.
  • Collaborate with other workshop zones, providing support across teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely task completion.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in all work carried out, with close attention to accuracy, safety, and compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Complete required paperwork and reports accurately, ensuring traceability and alignment with the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Take an active role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to professional development in a regulated aerospace setting.

Requirements

  • Proven background in engineering and maintenance, with hands-on experience in structural repairs, fabrication, and assembly of sheet metal components.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring equipment, and workshop machinery relevant to structural work.
  • Experience working to technical drawings, specifications, and engineering instructions, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and safety in a workshop environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to follow detailed procedures and complete technical documentation accurately.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn new inspection and aviation-specific processes.
  • Comfortable working shifts, including nights, in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK.
