About the Appearance Department
The Appearance Department is responsible for the overall presentation of the Ryanair fleet — from cabin cleanliness to landing gear washes. We manage and audit a network of service providers, ensuring they consistently meet both our operational benchmarks and the expectations of our passengers.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor aircraft cleaning and cabin appearance standards across designated Ryanair bases.
- Carry out audits for aircraft cleaning and cabin maintenance standards.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers while holding them accountable to agreed perfromance standards.
- Submit to the Appearance Manager detailed reports on substandard findings during supplier visits and hangar checks.
- Follow up with the suppliers on all substandard findings during base visits and hangar checks.
- Liaise with internal depertment to ensure issues are followed up and resolved.
- Monitor cabin maintenance standards, working with contractors and internal teams to rectify defects quickly.
- Propose updates and/or improvements to departmental documentation (procedures, manuals, etc.)
- Ensure service providers meet agreed service levels consistently.
- Maintain daily communication with third-party contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Support engineering and appearance projects as assigned by the Aircraft Appearance Manager.
- Carry out any additional duties as required by the Appearance Manager.
This role requires flexible coverage across both day and night shifts, with the majority (around 60%) taking place overnight to ensure round-the-clock operational excellence.

- Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
- Ability to travel freely across the EU.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Eligible to hold an airside pass for restricted airport areas.
- A good eye for detail
- Experience with AMOS or other maintenance software (desirable but not essential).
- Background in aircraft operations or engineering (desirable but not essential).
