Description

Ryanair is currently recruiting for an Assistant Crew Planning Manager to join their busy Inflight Department. We’re looking for a data-driven and solutions-focused Crew Planning Lead to drive performance through analytics, automation, and process optimisation, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

  • The successful candidate will report directly to our Crew Planning Manager, and will be responsible for the following:
  • Lead and develop a team of Crew Planners, ensuring a deep understanding of EASA Flight Time Limitations (FTL) and fatigue management.
  • Own the delivery of accurate and compliant Cabin Crew rosters, aligned with FTL rules and operational needs.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends in crew utilisation, standby utilisation, and headcount needs; turn insights into action.
  • Develop and enhance internal tools and reporting dashboards to automate planning tasks and reduce manual workload.
  • Continuously improve planning processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable, automated solutions.
  • Manage Cabin Crew annual leave planning, monthly targets, and balance patterns across bases and ranks.
  • Oversee Crew hours reporting (monthly/annual), ensuring fair distribution and adherence to agreements.
  • Act as the planning point of contact for internal systems including Zendesk, SAP, and bespoke planning tools.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Training, HR, and IT to drive planning efficiency and support operational goals.
  • Represent Crew Planning in cross-functional meetings, provide insights and data-based recommendations.
  • Covering tasks of Crew Planning Manager in the event of their absence.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have to demonstrate:

  • Proven numeric, analytical, administrative and computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel etc.) - advanced Excel is required for this position.
  • Proficiency in Power BI development is preferable.
  • Numerically or data driven, with a keen eye for analytics and calculations.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Good management skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to work to deadlines.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change quickly in a busy environment.
  • Preferable experience or 3rd level degree in Business, Analytic Science, Accounting/Finance or Mathematics.
  • Knowledge of ROCS Crew system is preferable.
