The Role

The Infrastructure team are currently recruiting for a Desktop Security Specialist which will reporting to our Global Desktop Client Manager.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the ongoing Desktop Security posture and future planning needs of the company’s desktop environment.
• Liase with Information Security team and wider IT teams for security requirements.
• Plan and ensure Windows/Office 365 and other Desktop applications are up to date.
• Planning with wider Desktop team, continuous software update roll outs.
• Monitor and address security vulnerabilities in our Desktop/Mac environment.
• Ensure new hardware builds and end user devices meet compliance.
• Excellent Working Knowledge of Active Directory.
• Responsible for some areas of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager/Intune.
• Comfortable supporting Windows/Mac Environments.

Requirements

• 3+ years hand on desktop support experience in a busy IT environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager is necessary, with experience of planned Windows/Office 365 and software roll outs.
• Intune experience is advantageous but not required.
• Experience in remote and on-site PC fault diagnosis/troubleshooting
• Strong troubleshooting skills with PC hardware.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Win10/11, Microsoft365, Citrix, Printing, Symantec Antivirus, VPN, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Intune.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential.
• Good team player.
• Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell.
