Buzz is currently recruiting for Flight SIM Engineering Manager to join our team, within our new Simulator Centre in Krakow, Poland. 
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody to progress their career and gain experience in Europe’s leading airline. Our Simulators are in use over 20 hours per day. We currently employ over 8,000 pilots and the SIM's are used for both initial and recurrent training. As a Flight SIM Engineering Manager, you will provide first line management support and facilitate the current simulator engineers, while also ensuring all facilities are maintained to relevant standards. 


The Role:
As SIM Manager you will:

  • Provide first line management support and facilitate the Simulator Engineers to ensure all PMs, QTGs, Safety Checks, Flyouts are performed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure defect rectification and modifications are performed in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ensure all facilities associated with the simulator department are maintained to relevant standards to ensure operational continuity
  • Mentor and develop the simulator engineers using the training matrix
  • Identify spares requirement and manage the efficient control and usage of spare parts
  • Perform the Site Safety Manager role and promote the safe operations of Stansted using the SMS as the foundation
  • Work with regulatory authorities to ensure all simulator approvals are maintained at the levels to support the Ryanair ATO
  • Efficient Management of the EMA simulator engineering team
  • Adopt and develop a succession plan using a graduate or apprenticeship scheme
  • Contribute to the development of the Ryanair FSTD Organisation as it grows with the airline.
  • Forecast and plan for future requirements and identify potential obsolescence and upgrades
     

Requirements

  •  At least 5 years simulator engineering experience
  •  Experience of managing simulator engineering operations
  • Experience of working with civil aviation regulatory authorities
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of CS-FSTD(A) Issue 2
  • Detailed understanding of EASA Part-ORA requirements for FSTD organisations
  • Experience of working with compliance management and safety management systems
  • Proven track record of planning skills with the ability to quickly analyse problems and implement practical solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills to effectively provide reports on a weekly basis
