Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting for the Safety Manager – Engineering to join Europe's Largest Airline Group.

This is an excelent time to join Ryanair as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests per year within the next 10 years.

Reporting to the Safety Manager, the successful candidate will be based in Dublin and will be tasked with the responsibility for the Engineering Safety Department activities across the Ryanair network for compliance with the EASA Regulations and Company Procedures. 

 

  • Attends regular Safety and Security Meetings
  • Carries out risk analysis and assess the effectiveness of actions taken
  • Initiates and follow-up on safety occurrences/incidents/accident investigations.
  • Provides Ryanair management with independent advice on safety matters and produce safety performance reports as requested and appropriate.
  • Represents Ryanair at EASA activities, UKFSC and other external meetings as directed by the Director of Safety & Security.
  • Assists the Safety Manager in ensuring development, delivering, and distributing appropriate Safety Training, in conjunction with the personnel department or appropriate nominated person, to those positions that have safety responsibilities within the Organisation and ensure the training meets the required standards. 

Requirements

  • A relevant engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification or 5 years’ experience in maintenance and/or continuing airworthiness management 
  • Knowledge of EASA regulations relating to Part 145, EU Ops, Part M, Part CAMO and Part 147
  • Safety management experience would be an advantage.
  • Operational experience related to the activities of the organisation.
  • Experience working with internal/external management systems.
  • Experience in a supervisory role would be beneficial.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills. 

SKILLS DESIRED

  • Thorough knowledge of the organisation's CAME. 
  • knowledge of maintenance methods. 
  • Must be flexible and adapt to change quickly.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and on own initiative.
  • MS Office suite experience
  • Good problem-solving skills
